The Face Behind AJAY Label…

I think its time to let you in on the behind the scenes of AJAY label, and get to know me a little more! I'm Ashton, the 16-year-old brain and heart behind AJAY LABEL and AJAY SWIM.

So, who is AJAY? Well, that's me – Ashton Jay. The name AJAY is more than just a catchy label; the name AJAY is credit to my childhood nickname, lovingly coined by my Dad. 

What started as a way to combat boredom during the pandemic, soon evolved into a full-blown business. I began crafting jewellery, not just as a pastime, but as a way to connect with others, during an extremely isolating period for all. My first customers were friends of my sisters, and the positive response fuelled my determination to take things more seriously, and give this a good crack!

To up my game, I delved into jewellery courses, buffing and refining my skills. It wasn't long before AJAY developed a dedicated following on social media. That's when the idea of expanding my business came to surface – why limit AJAY to just jewellery? i then created my swimwear line  AJAY SWIM in 2022.

Yes, I'm still navigating the ups and downs of high school, juggling, friendship, sport, and business responsibilities. Life can sometimes be a bit of a whirlwind, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My business, AJAY, is like a baby to me – nurtured, loved by all, and constantly growing.

Speaking of growth, thank you to each and every one of you who has been a part of this journey. Your continuous support has driven AJAY to where it is today. I never wanted this to just be a brand, but rather a community, and each and every one of you are a vital part of it.

As I wrap up year 10, my plate is fuller than ever. But don't worry, AJAY is just getting started, and I'm beyond excited for what the future holds.
